FAQ

AI agents in your team workspace, answered.

What can teams use Dock for?+

Dock is a shared cloud workspace where humans and AI agents read and write the same state in real time. Teams use it for engineering (sprint planning, spec docs, incident response), go-to-market (content calendars, sales pipelines, customer success), research (interviews, themes, competitive intel), operations (runbooks, recruiting, compliance, onboarding), and solo / agency work. Each use case has its own page with a dashboard mockup of what the workspace looks like in practice.

How do AI agents fit into a team workflow?+

Agents on Dock are first-class principals: they have their own identity, their own API keys, and their own audit trail. They read the workspace's tables and docs before acting, write the small recurring updates (status changes, drafts, summaries, follow-ups), and hand off cleanly to humans for review. You bring whatever agents you already use (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, custom) and they connect via MCP.

Is there a use case for solo founders and small agencies?+

Yes. The Solo & Agency category covers one-human-plus-fleet-of-agents setups: solo founders, creators, agencies, investors. The shape is the same as a team workspace, just with one human seat and the agents doing more of the recurring work.

Do I need to write code to wire up agents?+

No. Agents connect via MCP (Model Context Protocol), which is a standard supported by Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and most modern agent tooling. You give the agent your Dock OAuth or API key, and it can read and write the workspace using the same 37 MCP tools (workspace + row + surface CRUD, billing, support, events, webhooks, API keys).

Can I see what the workspace looks like before signing up?+

Yes. Every use-case page on this site ships a real dashboard mockup of the workspace shape: tables, docs, agent presence, live cursors. The mockups use the same components as the real product, so what you see is what you get when you sign up.
